Hero Myth of Spartanamiess

Long long ago there was a boy named Spartanamiess he was 4 years old when his mom was taken away from him by an especial fantastic hobgoblin who was much different than the rest of his kind. The hobgoblin was one of a kind his skin was like no other. No normal weapon could penitrate his amazing skin. He took Spartanamiess mother to a cave in Ethiopia were he held her captive for sixteen years. In those many years the hobgoblin made her marry him. What the hobgoblin did not know was that she had already had a son that was said to be very strong and brave when he got older. His whole life when he was younger he thought he was an orphan. As Spartanamiess was getting older he found out that he was not an orphan and that his mother was taken when he was a young boy. When he found out about this he was around thirteen or fourteen years old he wanted to go out and find his mother right when he found out but one of his care takers told him that he would not be strong enough to kill the hobgoblin. So from that day he started training day and night so one day he would be able to bring his mother home again. His mother was said to be one of the most beautiful girls alive in the world and his father was a god but they did not know which of the gods was the father. For that reason it was said that Spartanamiess would be strong and brave and help others as a hero should. For that reason also his mother was given a power from the god that she would not age but yet she still was not imortal. Six years past and he was around 19 and his training had paid off he was now a strong brave man that was yet still kind and helpfull but not scared of anyone or anything. He asked everyone that knew anything about his mother and found out she was taken to Ethiopia. It would be a long hard journey to get to Ethiopia. There were many people that voulanterd to go with him because of his bravery, leadership, and kidness. He thanked everybody that wanted to help but apoligized and said he did not want to hurt anyone else that was not part of this and also because this was his fight and he had to do this alone. People also asked him if they can build him a sturdy ship to re-pay him for all the things he did for them he let them do this and tried to pay them but no one accepted any money. He started his long journey, people had said it would take him about a year to get to ethiopia which would make him 21 when he got there, but with the ship that was built for him he was determand to make the trip shorter. As he traveled he trained hard with his sord but what he did not know yet was that his sord would do him no good againsted the hobgoblin. One night as he was traveling a storm was about to hit he felt it coming but did not think it would be to strong or make a diffrence so he did not pay much attention to it. As he woke up the boat was rocking like crazy. He ran to the deck and was overwelmed with a big sea storm. The storm was throwing him around, he needed help but no one was around to lend a hand. The strong rocking of the boat kept him from being able to reach the sales. He was struggling to stay on board when poiseidon, god of the sea rised up and saw Spartanamiess struggling to keep his boat upright. He noticed he was alone and came to his rescue. He raised his trident and comanded the sea to stop its terrior on Spartanamiess. The sea calmed down and Spartanmiess thanked Poiseidon a great deal for saving his life from the dreadful storm. The rest of the journey was much esier. When he arrived to Ethiopia he found Apollo coming down with a golden bow and one arrow. He thanked him for it but told him he might not even need it because he did not know yet of the hobgoblins power. He also showed him the way to go and where to find the cave. When he arrived to the cave he found his mother standing there. He came up to her and she knew who he was right away she gave him a hug as the hobgolin walked in to the cave. The hobgoblin was was very angry, he asked her what this man was doing here. She said this is my son and he has come to bring me back. The hobgoblin laghed and Spartanamiess pulled out his sord. He ran toward the goblin and kicked him to the floor. The goblin laughed again Spartanaiess tried to stab him with his sword but the sword bent because of the hobgoblins power. Spartanamiess was surrprised and angry, he remmemberd the arrow that Apollo gave to him he pulled it out. The presure was on he had one shot to get it right if he missed he and his mother would be finished. He aimed the bow and arrow, and took his shot. Direct hit right between the eyes, the hobgoblin fell to his knees and his last words were, "nice shot". So Spartanamiess grabbed his mother and sped off back to his boat were he set sail back to there country. While riding back his mother told him the whole story and how long she was waiting for this day. When they got back everyone was amazed and didnt know how on earth he was able to kill the goblin and bring his mother back. They spent the rest of there lives in happenies and Spartanamiess kept helping people as he did before.

The Birmingham Courier

September 15, 1963"The Sixteenth Street Baptist Church Tragedy." At 9 A.M. this morning at the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church there were around 80 teenage African American girls standing around in the lobby before Sunday school. It was a chilly morning today in the summer, low 60's. The instructor of the Sunday school class was a middle aged women named Ella C. Demand. The main idea and point of her class was to teach "love and forgiveness". Almost all of the girls in the class knew each other and were friends. They even attended the same church service. Several girls at the church said the day seemed like any other Sunday. Except at 10:22 A.M. it wasn't such a normal day at church, a huge explosion shook the Baptist church down to its foundation. If you were anywhere near the big explosion, the noise was deafening. One of the classroom walls collapsed as several young girls ran for their lives screaming in terror. Most of the people in the church still did not know where the explosion had occured at that point. There were many wounded. As of right now a reported four deaths and still some missing. Law enforcment are still investigating the bombing and have said they have suspects. However, they are not releasing any names at this point. It was a heart breaking day in Birmingham, now known as "Bombingham" Alabama where most are still shocked!

I want constructive critisism for my feed back. thank you

This I believe...
I believe confidence is very important in every day life. With out it, it would be hard to accomplish very much. I used to not have a lot of self confidence, But about 6 years ago while playing soccer I realized that i needed confidence. This was about the first time i ever really played soccer in an actual organization and i wasn't very good. Almost every time i tried to get past someone i always doubted myself at the last second, and a lot of the time i got the ball stolen away. My mom noticed that i was always ashamed and upset with myself even when we won. She asked me why I was always upset after a game and I told her it was because i could never get past anyone is soccer. Then she told me one thing that changed everything and i will never forget it, she said "its all in your head, if you have confidence in yourself and don't hesitate you will have a much better chance of getting past people, this will also help you out in life". I thought about her words for a while and realized it couldn't hurt to try. It was a little hard at first but i tried and started to notice it was working. For The rest of the soccer season i scored around 8 goals per game and I've felt a lot better about myself ever since that year. That year changed my hole look on things. Now I always have confidence in myself no matter what i do. From homework, or a big project that's due, to sports, and activities I'm doing, I always have confidence that i can accomplish it. For the past few years I've been encouraging my friends to have confidence with anything they do or try to do. I've noticed that a couple of them have been doing much better academically and the others are very athletic and it seems to me like they are very good at almost any sport or activity they try. This is why i believe confidence it very important to be successful in life-so that's why i want to encourage everyone who doesn't have confidence in themselves to try to. I know its not easy at first, it wasn't for me but now i am self confident and feel a lot better with myself when I'm doing homework or playing soccer, or doing anything for that matter. Now i find myself doing good in school and I'm on the A team for a competitive traveling soccer team, and it all started with those few works my mom said to me that changed everything and i will never forget that moment. So that's why i believe confidence is the key to success.

Hey, this is my overview for my English project. I think my ending is a little weak, could you comment on whats working and not working for you? Thanks!

Ku Klux Klan
The Ku Klux Klan, usually referred to as just the K.K.K. All started on December 24th in 1865. By Calvin E. Jones, John B Kennedy, John C. Lester, Richard R. Reed, Frank O. McCord, and James R. Crowe. It started In a little town in tennessee called Pulaski with a population of about 6,600. The main reason of making the Klan was to show that whites were the dominant race, and all minority's were of lesser value. The name "Ku Klux Klan" comes from the word Kuklos, which means a band or circle. John Kennedy attended Centre college in Kentucky and did research on the word. Then James Crowe was the leader that suggested splitting Kuklos into two and changing the last letter to a "x", making Ku Klux. Since they were of Scottish decent they decided to put clan in it but changed the "c" to a "k" to make "Ku Klux Klan".
The Klan started just after the Civil war and it is believed that all six of the leaders were in the Confederate army just a few months before the Klan was established. The money value in the south dropped so they wanted to make a club. They made to committee's, one to choose a name and the other was to make rules, titles, and activities to be preformed by the Klan.
The Klan wanted Purity and to preserve their homeland. They also wanted protection for women and children. they made robes for the members that were all white- the symbol for purity. They had red trimmings to represent the blood shed in the defense of the helpless. these colors were also Confederate colors. The wife's of the Klan members made over 400,000 of these robes for the horses and the people. After the robes were made and they had there meeting, the six original members paraded down the streets on their horses wearing there robes. most Blacks thought they were ghosts coming to scare them.
The Klan did not intend to be violent until people dressed up as Klan members were hurting and killing blacks. Once this was happening they decided to get violent because the people wouldn't know the difference between the real and the fake Klan members.
Today there are still people that are members of the Ku Klux Klan but are not as violent as in the '50's and '60's. But today there are still people who do not like minority's, but still tolerate them so it makes up the culture of the United States.
